Leading Structured Groups

Intensive coaching, practice and feedback in delivering prepared input to groups.
 
Over its 25 years existence, APT has learned a lot about leading structured groups and,
recently, we have been asked to impart some of that knowledge to people who need to run groups themselves. We have now formalized that course and here it is. There is relatively
much less didactic input on this course than on most APT courses and much more emphasis
on role play. Over the three days every delegate has a chance to (a) run a structured group,
(b) be a participant on a structured group and (c) objectively analyze other people running groups. By the end of the course our aim is that firstly you know a lot about running groups,
but, more importantly, you are able to do it well.
 
A 3-day course for 6-16 people.
We bring the training to you for an all-inclusive fee of $7,795 plus GST/HST.

Providing Good Clinical Supervision

The course that shows clinicians how to use pre-existing skills to provide
effective clinical supervision.
 
Clinical supervision is a key concept that many people are unclear about. Unclear whether
‘supervision’ means that you should be ensuring that the supervisee is ‘doing it right’ or
whether you should be providing a sounding board for the supervisee to develop their clinical thinking, or what. This course clarifies it by looking at the current models of supervision, what
the professional bodies say about it, and more. The ‘more’ consists predominantly of learning how to do it, or learning to do it better. The aim is, therefore, that by the end of the 2 days you
will both (a) know about clinical supervision and (b) be good at providing it.
